JOB SUMMARY
The Internal Loan Review Team Lead assists in the assessment of risk and management of the Bank's Real Estate, Commercial - Consumer Loan Portfolios by providing analytical and credit oversight to the commercial, consumer and commercial real estate loan review staff. The Team Lead will be responsible for the accuracy of final risk rating on assigned loan reviews (subject to the approval by the Director of Internal Loan Review), loan covenant and quality assurance compliance reviews along with providing a detail analysis to the Director of Internal Loan Review and the Assistant Director of Internal Loan Review of any adverse loan quality trend observed in the loan review cycle reporting period.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Evaluates pertinent information to determine if the risk rating is an acceptable risk of the business unit.
Communicates with Loan Officer(s) as needed to gather information needed for the final loan risk rating determination.
Collects appropriate financial data and information to ensure an accurate risk assessment and thorough underwriting by lending officers.
Leads, assists and provides training to Internal Loan Review Analyst(s) as requested by management, along with preparation and completion of loan reviews as assigned by the ILR Operations Manager and/or the Director of Internal Loan Review
Understands the financial analysis and conclusions drawn by the business unit lenders.
Reviews line sheets of the Loan Review Analyst(s) and prepares financial spreads as needed
Monitors industry trends and analyzes specific industry trend data to identify potential areas of risk in the loan portfolio.
Analyses global cash flow for commercial and individual borrowers, and guarantors to identity financial condition, profitability, repayment ability, operating trends, financial support of credit and other various financial indicators/enhancements.
Monitors non-performing loans, including but not limited to appraisal assumptions and conclusions of final value, and borrower or project financial analysis by the business units.
Reviews loan covenant compliance reviews and review findings with Commercial Loan (Officer(s).
Maintains, tracks and clears financial exceptions on loans identified.
Maintains, tracks and clears documentation exceptions.
Works with Internal Loan Review Analyst(s) to ensure the clearing of technical exceptions.
Monitors past due loan accounts and report to the Internal Loan Review Operations Manager.
Reviews appraisals and Phase I reports as needed for real estate transactions.
Completes loan reviews as requested by management on each credit within the assigned portfolio.
Continually advances knowledge regarding the department's internal controls as outlined in the policies and procedures and complies with all control requirements. Recommends updates or enhancements to policies and procedures as the portfolio evolves.
Comprehends and adheres to all Federal and State banking regulations including compliance with the bank's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program. Follows all Company policies and procedures, and successfully participates in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree In Finance/Accounting or related business field.
Ten (10) years of experience performing complex credit evaluations in a mid-size to large commercial bank.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Loan Review Officer or Asset Manager within a Loan Review or Audit Department at a commercial bank.
Experience dealing with Federal Agencies at the FDIC, OCC and FRB or other State Banking Regulatory Agencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Thorough knowledge of lending laws and regulations.
Excellent knowledge of all types of real estate and C - I lending transactions.
Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills.
Effective business writing and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.
Computer literate with advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and CROWE 360 software.
Ability to work independently with very limited supervision.
Ability to take full ownership of issues until they are completely resolved.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Internal Loan Review Analyst(s).
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, diverse growth environment
Demonstrates strong integrity in all areas, adhering to policies, regulations and utmost ethical and legal standards.
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of findings in all situations.
Demonstrates flexibility to withstand unpredictable changes to schedules and deadlines.
