Senior Accountant - Retail! About our client:

• Our client is the leading designer and supplier of decorative high-quality carpet, custom fabricated rugs and hard surfaces. They have grown substantially over the past fifteen years and are looking for a Senior Accountant to be a part of the company's long-term growth.
• This role will be reporting into the Controller with visibility to the CFO and Senior Management. There is a growth opportunity in the position to be the right hand of the Controller in the near future.

• The employees who have been with the organization are tenured and say that it is a very family oriented feel What you'll do as a Senior Accountant:
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end and year-end closings
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly bank reconciliations
  • Review daily bank activity for accuracy
  • Analyze gross profit reports for monthly reporting package
  • Assist in analyzing inventory variances and trends
  • Assist with year-end certified audit requirements by investigating and resolving audit findings
  • Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and budget versus actual variance analysis.
  • Variance analysis of outgoing freight to ensure reaching pricing strategies
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
  • Assist with additional analysis, tasks and special projects as needed What you bring as the Senior Accountant:
    • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Salary up to $110K depending upon experience
    • Strong Excel experience with exposure to an ERP system such as:
      • Oracle, SAP, AS400 or others is a plus.
