Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical Designers Core Competencies: Perform building heating and cooling load calculations using standard software tools. Perform building energy use and simulation studies using software such as eQuest, Trane Trace 3D, etc. Size, select and schedule mechanical equipment including chillers, air conditioning units, boilers, pumps, etc. Design and layout duct and piping systems. Prepare technical specifications for mechanical equipment. Prepare mechanical CAD drawings. Coordinate mechanical work with other disciplines. Familiarity with local and state codes. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3 to 8 years of relevant experience. Mechanical systems design experience. PE License strongly preferred/Un-licensed candidates should be on track for licensure Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 5 - 10 years Bonus/Commission: No
