you've been waiting for! CDS is seeking a seasoned Senior Software
Engineer to lead and evolve the Health Management Unit (HMU), also
known as eFAST—the avionics box and web application that aggregates
data from the A220 aircraft and PW1500 engine, securely transfers
it to ground systems, and enables fleet management via the flight
data processing web application. The service is offered to airlines
through our Airframer partner. You will work across Real-Time
Embedded Systems (RTES), Diagnostics/Prognostics Health Management
(DPHM), and Aftermarket teams to deliver reliable, secure, and
business-impacting capabilities. Responsibilities: Lead the design
and deployment of the flight data processing web application and
associated services. Support Commercial Engine Aftermarket Data
Services and their Operations Team, ensuring high availability and
effective incident response. Collaborate closely with the
Airframer, airline customers, and the CIPT Leader; drive
cross-functional alignment with DPHM and Embedded teams. Translate
stakeholder feedback from external suppliers and customers into
actionable objectives and prioritized backlogs. Plan and manage
long-term, complex projects—turning large-scale goals into
executable roadmaps, schedules, and budgets. Contribute to product
strategy by aligning technical decisions with financial and
operational ROI; articulate tradeoffs and recommendations.
Integrate security measures into every phase of development
(DevSecOps), from planning through product maintenance; implement
processes and standards that improve product quality and
compliance. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 5 years of
engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years’
experience. U.S. Person/Green Card holder Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong knowledge of embedded hardware/software and aircraft
communication interfaces; familiarity with aviation environments.
Excellent knowledge of DO?178 standards for safety-critical
aerospace software. Demonstrated success collaborating on
cross-functional project teams across engineering, operations,
suppliers, and customers. AWS and/or Azure (including IoT services)
creating, configuring, and utilizing cloud resources for production
and prototyping/dev. Proficiency in Python or Java; ability to
understand existing codebases, make minor modifications, and create
small programs to parse large data, interact with APIs, or
integrate cloud resources. Conceptual understanding of ML model
creation and training sufficient to collaborate with DPHM teams.
Experience with Docker; bonus for Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and
container orchestration in cloud environments; familiarity with
cloud storage and virtual infrastructures. Knowledge of
cybersecurity frameworks and best practices; familiarity with
static analysis (e.g., Coverity) and dependency scanning (e.g.,
Black Duck) is a plus. Strong background in data engineering and
building secure, scalable services. Excellent communication,

86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
