JOB SUMMARY
An Digital and Banking as a Service Project Mgr I works under
minimal supervision to plan, conduct, implement and review assigned
project tasks in support of the Chief Digital and Banking as a
Service Officer. Responsible for the governance, coordination and
development of the project management functions and processes
within the organization as well as oversight and guidance. Applies
a comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies to
projects in relation to the monitoring of quality, timeliness and
implementation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides supervision around project portfolio data including
initial data entry, project promotion, project status updates and
project closure.
- Exercises a leadership role, ensuring the completion of
projects within defined time-lines, budget controls and quality
standards
- Establishes and maintains the area's project management
procedures and updates the procedures as needed.
- Provides accurate estimates; manages, documents and
communicates scope changes; communicates project risks promptly and
precisely.
- Directs and coordinates projects which may involve multiple
departments, and ensures proper handling of inter-project
milestones and dependencies.
- Works closely with business units for initiation, design,
testing and implementation of solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring that designated corporate projects
follow the NYCB corporate product standards.
- Provides direction to and is responsible for monitoring
achieving the assigned projects' objectives.
- Partners with business unit management to manage complex
projects designed to continuously improve the financial and
operational performance of the business unit.
- Maintains a central repository for each project's policy,
exhibits and procedures.
- Responsible for managing the production of status reporting,
spreadsheets, charts, graphs, forms as required to accurately
report all necessary data.
- Works with regulatory and oversight groups such as Audit, ERM,
and Governance as needed.
- Delivers presentations at meetings and other functions as
required.
- Maintains a high level of customer service and professionalism
with bank staff of all levels.
- Exhibits thorough knowledge of the project management
methodology as it applies to Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid
Development methodologies.
- Ensures the projects within the portfolio are appropriately
planned, resourced and executed in partnership with customer and/or
vendors.
- Performs special projects and additional duties and
responsibilities when required.
- When performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are
accountable to follow Sarbanes-Oxley and Regulatory compliance as
applicable to internal control policies and procedures.
