Primary Care has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient
focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator/
Medical Assistant to join our team. The Associate Patient Care
Coordinator/ Medical Assistant is responsible for the completion of
set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members
of the care team to support the vision and mission of the
organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean
processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and
service goals. Schedule : A 37.5-hour work week, Monday, Wednesday
and Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00pm Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm,
Friday from 8:30am to 4:00 pm. Rotating Saturdays (from 8:30 am to
12:30 pm Location: 2110 Northern Blvd, Suite 205, Manhasset, NY
11030 Primary Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients, verify
insurance, and update medical records Schedule appointments,
follow-ups, and referrals Serve as a liaison between patients,
providers, and insurance companies Provide patients with pre-visit
instructions and post-visit follow-up Prepare patients for
examinations and assist during procedures Administer medications
and injections as directed by the provider Collect and prepare
laboratory specimens Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient
records in the EHR system Handle phone calls, messages, and patient
inquiries Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification
as needed Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols Maintain patient
confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Participate in
quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings Ability to be
cross trained as a medical assistant Takes vital signs, performs
EKGs and assists providers with patient care Performs lab testing
and quality assurance Prepares and tracks specimens sent to lab
Ability to collect blood specimens via venipuncture or via
capillary Prepares exam rooms for patients and documents patient
encounters in Epic Practices standard infection control precautions

Diploma/GED (or higher) 1 years of customer service or healthcare
related experience Intermediate level of computer proficiency
(multitasking through multiple applications including Microsoft
Outlook, Excel, and Word) Ability to be trained as an M.A. (must be
completed), OR already holding a registration as a Medical
Assistant Ability to cover other offices if needed Ability to be
flexible with the work schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
8:30 am to 5:00pm Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Friday from 8:30am to
4:00 pm Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Preferred
Qualifications: 1 years of experience working in medical office
position performing duties such as scheduling appointments,
checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting
co-pays, and maintaining medical records Experience working with an
electronic health record (EPIC) Soft Skills: Ability to work
independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers Strong
organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and
prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines Ability to work well under
pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written
communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely,
conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as
well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
The salary range for this role is $ 16.00 to $ 28.85 per hour based
on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including
but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience,
