Optum Tri-State believes in giving back to their community and the patients they serve through health fairs, charitable giving/foundation, and free medical education. /n /n Utilizes independent judgment to provide CT services to patients while adhering to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and standards. /n /n Primary Responsibilities: /n /n - Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures /n - Explains procedures and process to patients /n - Moves imaging equipment into the specified position; determines exposure factors based on height, weight, the portion of the body involved, and the degree of penetration required; and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy /n - Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff /n - Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures /n - Processes images and reviews them for proper identification and quality control /n - Prepares images for reading by the radiologist or requesting physician /n - Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed /n - Routinely provides CT diagnostic services by operating imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate /n - Follows established protocols for each specific scan /n - Demonstrates ability to operate CT equipment properly /n - Follows all scans and filming protoco /n /n /n You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: /n /n - High School diploma/GED /n - License or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology in the state of New York /n - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification /n - 2 years of experience in Radiology /n - Ability to work independently in CT environment /n /n /n New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
