A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with strong expertise in assisting complex diagnostic and neuro-interventional vascular procedures. This travel position is based in Edison, NJ, providing a dynamic environment to collaborate closely with proceduralists and multi-disciplinary teams including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. Responsibilities and Duties: - Assist proceduralists during intricate diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases, including scrubbing side-by-side with specialty proceduralists. - Operate floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines with adept technical proficiency. - Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex interventional products during procedures. - Critically think and provide real-time support during complex neuro-interventional cases. - Manage power injection of iodinated contrast media devices during diagnostic and interventional procedures. - Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention protocols while setting up procedural trays. - Utilize strong closed-loop communication skills to positively contribute to team dynamics. - Perform post-intervention groin management. - Document all procedural details accurately in the electronic medical record; transmit images to Sectra/PACS system. - Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Current ARRT certification and NJ State radiographic licensure. - 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with radiographic licensure. - BLS certification from an accredited American Heart Association provider with demonstrated skills. - Solid knowledge of fluoroscopy and related imaging technology, specifically in interventional radiology settings. - Proven ability to maintain sterile fields and manage complex procedural requirements.
