Job Description Job Description Job Title: MRI Technologist Location: New York, NY 10029 Assignment Type: Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Shift: Day Shift (Union schedule; hours may vary) Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5 × 7.5-hour shifts Weekly Hours: 37.5 Pay Rate: Local: $72/hour Travel: $91/hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a clinical setting. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to patient safety and comfort, and strict adherence to MRI safety and departmental protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols Position patients and MRI coils to achieve optimal imaging results Educate patients on MRI procedures and provide clear instructions Review MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to scans Ensure accurate labeling and timely transmission of images to PACS Complete documentation and patient tracking in IDX (Radiology Information System) Schedule examinations in IDX as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment Monitor and replenish imaging supplies and accessories Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions promptly Assist physicians during procedures when required Perform clerical duties when support staff is unavailable Comply with MRI safety standards and infection control policies Attend required in-services and professional development sessions Maintain all required licenses and certifications in good standing Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology ARRT MRI Registry BCLS Certification Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging principles Excellent technical proficiency and patient-care skills Preferred Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of MRI experience For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
