Job Description Job Description Overview Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neurologist - Adult Neuro-Hospitalist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. HH Kings County has recently opened a Neuroscience Center and offers state of the art care for: Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology including Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke. In addition, we have expert Neurosurgical Services, Neuro Critical Care, Interventional Neuroradiology, Neuroradiology, and Neuro Rehabilitation. Our Stroke Center is accredited as Thrombectomy Capable by The Joint Commission. Our Epilepsy Center has achieved Level 2 accreditation by National Association for Accredited Epilepsy Centers criteria. Kings County runs EEG and EMG Laboratories and offers the ketogenic diet. Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being Afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities Purpose of position: To provide expert neurology care to patients at HH Kings county on the General Neurology inpatient and outpatient services as an Adult Neurohospitalist . Evaluate and manage patients on the General Neurology Inpatient Service including consultations and admissions. Attend in General Neurology Outpatient Practice while not on the inpatient service. Supervise and teach Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. Participate in the educational activities of the Neurology Service. Participate in the quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities of the Neurology Service. Attend and participate in Neurology Service Faculty meetings. EEG reading a plus but not required. Qualifications Current licensed NYS registration certificate Board Eligible/Board Certified in Adult Neurology Completion of Adult Neurology Residency Preferred: Two years of clinical experience preferred Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $269,216 based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $351,657, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $52,520. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
