Job Description Job Description Degree in Radiologic Technology,
Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and
minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who
do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
Radiologic Technologist role is available to perform diagnostic
radiographic examinations with a focus on technical proficiency and
patient care. This contract position, located in Hackensack, NJ,
requires a detail-oriented professional skilled in operating
radiology equipment and managing patient imaging processes
independently. Responsibilities include: - Producing diagnostic
radiographic images by properly positioning patients and selecting
appropriate technical factors. - Using equipment such as cones and
collimators to limit radiation exposure to unaffected areas. -
Conducting portable X-ray exams in varied settings including
patient rooms, operating rooms, and the emergency department. -
Ensuring accurate identification and marking of patient films in
accordance with procedural standards. - Developing exposed films
through available processing methods. - Completing patient
requisitions with proper documentation. - Maintaining orderly
radiology workspaces under departmental guidance. - Preparing and
assisting with administration of radiopaque contrast media. -
Performing administrative duties such as scheduling, instructing
patients, filing films, and record maintenance. - Providing patient
assistance based on individual mobility and needs. - Ensuring
effective communication tailored to patient age, culture, language,
or sensory impairments. - Adhering to institutional standards and
organizational competencies. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or degree as a Radiologic Technologist required. -
Proven experience in diagnostic radiography. - Knowledge of
radiation safety and patient immobilization techniques. - Ability
to perform portable X-ray procedures. - Strong interpersonal skills
for patient care and communication. - Physical ability to lift,
push, pull, and stand for extended periods. Location:Hackensack, NJ
