Locums - Waterbury, Connecticut, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Dates of Coverage: September-December 2026

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday outpatient clinic
• 8:30am-5:00pm
• Outpatient coverage 4 days per week
• Includes call coverage (1:3 rotation)
• Evening call nightly + weekend coverage Friday 4:00pm-Monday 7:00am

Reason for Coverage:

• Maternity leave (3 months)

Practice Overview:

• Hematology/Oncology split: 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
• Internal Medicine: 0%
• Average outpatient volume: 15-16 patients per day
• Hospital call/rounding volume: approximately 1-5 patients per day
• 3 physicians in practice (one on maternity leave)
• 2 APPs providing support
• Radiation oncologists available during coverage
• Nurse oncology support for chemotherapy administration
• Participation in tumor board required
• Orders tests, imaging, and prescriptions

Patient Population:

• Adult
• Geriatric
• OB (as specified)

Clinical Settings:

• Outpatient oncology and hematology clinic
• Inpatient oncology and hematology coverage
• Trauma Level II facility

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

• Board Certified - Required
• Active Connecticut license in hand at time of submission - Required (no exceptions)
• BLS - Required
• Provider must be local
