We are also parent company to NC Custom, the promotional arm of our business and home to the following industry-leading brands: Chocolate Inn/Taylor & Grant (edibles), Lanco (promotional hard goods), SPD Shoreline (apparel and soft goods), ACE (outdoor apparel and drinkware), and Fresh Beginnings (baked goods).We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish / English) Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Health and Safety Manager in building and sustaining a culture of safety. This includes providing safety training, ensuring facility compliance with company and government safety standards, improving safety performance, and building a culture of safety.Essential Functions:Promote a culture of safety across the organization.Conduct daily facility audits to identify potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance.Respond to near miss events, incidents, and accidents when needed, and partner with leaders to identify preventive steps to continually improve.Coordinate OSHA and related training in all assigned Manufacturing and Warehouse locations including new hire orientation, annual compliance training, and safety awareness.Partner with the Health and Safety Manager to complete reports and meet compliance commitments.Assist in audit preparation, emergency response plans, and DOT compliance for company drivers.Collect COI and Hold Harmless documentation from outside vendors.Actively participate in the promotion and execution of the Safety Incentive Program and work closely with designated Safety Ambassador's to reach monthly goals.Solicit ideas and recommendations from associates across the organization to identify safety concerns, and proactively address them.Support safety incident response, and complete First Aid certification to assist with associate care when needed.Update Health & Safety Boards and ensure messages remain current and relevant.Prepare agenda, capture meeting notes, and maintain progress on follow-up for site safety committee meetings.Partner with HR to ensure associate job transfers include proper training.May perform other duties or work on other projects as required by the Department.Minimum Requirements:Bilingual Spanish/EnglishMinimum one to two years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment with a safety focused mindset.Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Proven ability to maintain confidential information.Outstanding organizational skills: able to prioritize work and focus on details.Able to communicate with impact - both in written and verbal form.Proactive approach and commitment to finish tasks on a timely basis.Additional Responsibilities:Assist in the development of Job Task AssessmentsAssist in Worker's Compensation and Return-to-Work follow-up.Partner with Safety and Health Manager to support Testing of Emergency Equipment, Fire Extinguisher monthly checks, and other monthly checks; maintain appropriate logsAssist in Annual Fire Drill procedures.Maintain site Emergency Contact lists.Check and refill First Aid kits.Assist in tracking incidents/accidents; identify trends, and corrective actions necessary to prevent future issues.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, bend and stretch to review and examine shipments.Ability to perform routine physical activity including standing and walking for several hours.Able to travel to multiple facilities as needed.This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing Long Island company!We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
