With our growth comes a need to expand our Learning and Development Department with the addition of a _ Learning & Development Specialist _ to the Team. We are looking for a focused and motivated individual who will work closely with our Sales new hires weekly. Preparing them for a successful career with NY State Solar. Solar is a Growing Industry. It is the Future of Energy here in NY and we are on the top of that list _ Learning & Development Specialist Job Responsibilities: _ Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to the sales process, develops individual coaching plans, provides resources and assistance, and schedules orientation drive-alongs with senior representatives. Conducts exercise sessions for new and current sales employees. Observes sales encounters and collects feedback, results, and performance data of trainees after sessions. Coordinates with other sales trainers and sales managers. Hires and onboards new sales trainees. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Learning & Development Specialist _ Qualifications and Skills: _ Advanced customer service and time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to design effective training programs Outstanding coaching skills Great organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to measure performance Experience with building and developing teams_ Education and Experience Requirements for a Learning & Development Specialist: _ Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field required. 2-3 years of experience as a sales coach, training specialist, or in a similar position.
